Specifika diverzity managementu ve strojírenském průmyslu

The master thesis deals with the matter of management diversity in chosen engineering companies. The goal of this paper is to formulate proposals and suggestions in the field of diversity management with emphasis on age and gender management in engineering companies in the South Moravian region. The first part of the thesis explains basic terms, arguments and process of diversity management implementation. The thesis consists of qualitative and quantitative research. Within the qualitative research eight semi-structured interviews with employees of middle and top management were taken. Quantitative research is based on questionnarie survey and statistical analysis of data that were gained in program Statistica 12. In the conclusion the author considers the results and based on them suggests recommendations including their benefits and economic appreciation.
Diversity management v segmentu státní správy ČR

This diploma thesis deals with problems of the diversity management in selected offices of the state management of the Czech Republic. The literature search de-scribes some fundamental concepts concerning the diversity management, benefits, obstacles and the procedure of the practical implementation of the diversity management. The main goal of this diploma thesis is to find out, in which way the state administration accepts the diversity management and what is the benefit of the practical implementation of the diversity management, especially in the area of the employees‘ recruitment and adaptation. In the frame of this diploma thesis in-deep discussions were conducted with personnel officers. Results of these discussions were then processed by means of the MAXQDA program. At the end of the thesis some recommendations are proposed to utilize the diversity management in a segment of the state administration for the employees‘ recruitment and adaptation.
Application options of the Concept of age management for different types of schools in Prague

This thesis is following up a concept of diversity management, in great detail we are talking here about age management, which is human resources management with respect to age and ability of the employee. The theoretical part deals with management of diversity in work teams, defines age management as the possibility of adapting the organization to the needs of aging employees. Highlights the demographic development of the society, bringing us near to age spread of the teachers in schools in the Czech Republic. The empirical part describes in detail the age management tools as suitable instrument for adapting the working conditions for the employees of age 50+. It contains three sub-surveys in three kindergartens, three Primary Schools and three Elementary Art Schools in Prague. Based on semi-structured interviews with the directors and also on answering questionnaires about the age management and the utilization of its tools in between the group of pedagogues of age 50+ and the group of operational staff of age 50+ at the surveyed schools compares the possibility of introducing the instruments of the age management to schools with needs of employees of age 50+. Impact of Diversity Strategic Management on Position of Women in Corporate Environment

The main theme of the thesis is the position of women on the labour market and the related fact that positions with major decision making competences are represented by absolute minimum of women. Intentional support of and managing diversity in corporate environment could be, therefore, one of the effective instruments forming more balanced representation of men and women across the corporate structure and hence on labour market but eventually in society as a whole. In the thesis are discussed benefits and difficulties of strategic diversity management in the corporate environment. The research section deals with the ways diversity management affect the position of concrete women in Česká spořitelna, a.s. This corporation was chosen for the survey in view of the fact that strategic diversity management has been implemented there and it is therefore possible to monitor the real impact of diversity management on the status of women in a particular corporation.

Thesis called Diversity management deals with the application of Diversity Management in an organization. The main aim of the thesis identify elements of Diversity Management and evaluate the implementation of the concept of diversity workplace in the Czech organizations with regard to the factors examined diversity. Attention is focused on gender diversity and diversity of age. The thesis is dividend into two parts. In the theoretical part are clearly presented the basic concepts: diversity, Diversity Management, gender and age diversity, including theoretical analysis of the issue of Diversity Management. The analytical part of the thesis deals with the factors studied gender and age Diversity Management in the organization XY. Gradually this is in part characterized by, the profile of the organization, its organizational structure and assessed the current situation of the concept of diversity. Given the fact that XY has not yet entered into the implementation of the concept of Diversity Management, in conclusion suggested appropriate recommendations for this organization. The proposed recommendations arising the results of the survey of employees, individual interviews and group interviews with leading the organization.
Attitudes of university students towards diversity management

This thesis deals with diversity and diversity management. The aim of this work is to analyze how are young people affected by supporting diversity and implementation of diversity management by the company and see what awareness students have of diversity and diversity management, what attitude have young people towards diversity in the workplace and opinions of young people on discrimination in the workplace. Quantitative research was chosen as analysis method. The students of economics were selected as target group. Research has shown that students have a very good knowledge of diversity. Awareness of diversity management among students and graduates is relatively high but only few of them have met with this concept in practice. Most of students think that diversity management has a positive effect on the performance of the company and they consider increasing creativity and innovation of employees as the biggest advantage of this concept. When choosing a job offer companies which promote diversity of employees are considered more attractive.
Age discrimination on Czech labor market

The aim of this thesis, which describes age discrimination on the labor market in the Czech Republic, is to connect theoretical knowledge of Czech labor market with practice. The first chapter is focused on the discrimination generally. The second chapter describes the current situation in the Czech Republic in relation with the age discrimination. Moreover, there are examples of the discrimination in each age category specified in detail. Further along the thesis gives recommendations how to prevent discrimination from limiting equal job opportunities. The work is processed by the methodology of comparative analysis.
